ATTICA. Athens. Circa 165-42 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 36 mm, 16.94 g, 1 h), Pado... and Lysia..., magistrates, 145/4. Head of Athena Parthenos to right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet adorned with Pegasos. Rev. A-ΘE Owl standing facing on Amphora; to left, monogram of ΠΑ above ΔΩ; to right, ΛΥΣΙΑ above forepart of a bridled horse to right; to lower left, AN; on amphora, Γ; all within laurel wreath. Thompson 159a. Nicely toned. The obverse struck from a worn die, otherwise, very fine.
